A Day in the Life of a Toddler Student (2 year old)

Suzie's mom drops her off at school. Suzie is helped out of the car and then walks to the classroom by herself.

Upon entering the classroom she announces, "Hi everybody!" Then she goes to greet the teacher. She smiles, walks to her closet, takes off her coat and hangs it inside her closet.
She decided to use the toilet by herself. She heads to the washroom and says, "Look Mrs. Armenta! I'm dry!" She uses the toilet and washes her hands all by herself. Then she walks over to the shelf to choose her own work.

Suzie works diligently with gluing. Once finished, she is very excited and proud of her work.

She then cleans her workspace by washing the brush, finding a sponge and wiping the tray, putting the sponge away, and lastly putting the gluing box away. While cleaning, she happily sings "Buenos Dias."

Suzie walks around the classroom and looks at everything on the shelves; she chooses the button frame.

She brings the work to a table, saying "Look Armenta, it is closed." She opened all of the buttons and said, "Look! It is open."
After 5 minutes of working with the button frame she declares "I need to use the bathroom." She stood, used the bathroom, washed her hands and came back to the table to work with button frame again. Just as she was sitting down, another child came over and touched the button frame. She said "NO!!! Don't touch my work."

Suzie joins a group during a Language lesson. They are working with replicas of farm animals, saying their names in Spanish. read more...
During the lesson Suzie makes the sounds of the animals, especially the pig sound of "oink-oink."
After the lesson, as Suzie is walking around the classroom, Miss Garzelloni says "Oh, I noticed that we don't have cups on the table!" Suzie walks over, puts on the table setting apron and puts the cups on the table, followed by the forks. She finishes, saying, "I'm done!" She takes off her apron and hangs it back up.

Suzie works with the clay, making what she calls "tiny little balls." After 5 minutes she puts her work read more...
away by putting all of the clay in the container, takes her apron off and sets it inside the bucket, finds a sponge and wipes the tray. She put the sponge away and begins to walk away, needing the assistance from an adult to remember to put her work back on the shelf.

Mrs. Armenta calls the children to the come together for circle time.

Suzie enjoys circle time with the other children in the class. She sings classroom songs and practices the songs for Grandparent's Day. After singing, she is invited to wash her hands since it is almost time for snack.

The children all sit together at the table to enjoy snack. Suzie eats a cheese roll

(baked daily in class by one of the children!), grapes and sweet red pepper slices. Once she has finished what she had on her plate, she says "Mrs. Armenta, more grapes please." She was invited to pass the washcloths after snack but says, "No thank you." After snack she sings "Shoo Fly" while clearing her place at the table. She uses the toilet, again all by herself.
 11:15AM
Suzie goes to gym with her class. During gym time, she enjoys running all around the gym.

She also bounces and chases the balls around. She is practices catching and bouncing the ball.

It is time to go home. Suzie puts her coat on all by herself and gathers her bag.

Then Suzie walks together with her class to the carpool room. There she sits with her friends until her mom arrives to pick her up
